All fiction aside...

So... I want to make a quick blog here. 

Last night, a sizable storm system swept the USA. Using the situation as a topic to brainstorm and create some stories for my characters, including content for an experimental character twitter that I will not name due to the experiment being an ongoing thing. The latter used last night's blog for a cropped tweet screenshot for content imagery to go with the tweet.  

Of course, during this time - it was still early in the night, our WI snow hadn't come yet, and overall there was not a lot of activity really out there. If I recall, the storms had just fired in Central AR & were moving Northeast. After the posts here and on Twitter - I moved to chat with my online BFF and then went to bed. I awoke, late as I seem to always do, and checked the Twitter feed to find that the storms had, in fact, dropped a little snow here but also laid waste to entire states. This makes last night's post a bit sour in some terms, but it also gives me the chance to make this post now. 

I've tweeted a sizeable string of tweets threaded together, rather shoddily as I'm horrid at sewing.

 This thread has info on ways to donate to organizations in the affected areas, or at least what I could find with googling while in mid-tweet. If you know other local options for donating, reply to the tweet with links! I feel Twitter is the fastest and most common way to pass this type of information. It's instantaneous and lends well to added media to help Twitter push it into people's feeds more than my blog would be seen. 

Just wanted to say that, as I know, part of me feels like the backside of a donkey as things have unfolded. It was all based on the moment of brainstorming and not malicious in any way. :)

Remember, we are all humans on this spinning globe in the universe - no matter the titles, labels, and hurdles we place in front our ourselves or others.

    A confirmed Tornado is moving though the Lakefront District, Transit District of Southstar Glen.  Sheriff's Deputies have confirmed major damage in the Transit district and impassable roads within the Transit and Lakefront Express Way.  All citizen's are urged to take cover in path of tornado still on ground and to avoid the entire East, South East side of the city.  

    Citizen's in need or affected by the tornado are urged to stay in place unless unsafe to do so and use the SSCSO App to report your status. Please refrain from calling 9-1-1 unless medical attention is needed in an effort to minimize blocking lines of rescue.

So; I may have been too busy at work or also a bit too easily distracted to complete more than one image for #Inktober, but the one I did get was a good one!  You know it's a big deal when I impressed myself even. 

 Below you can see the inked version I am using as my Hashtag Inktober submission. Along with it is the full colored version with Photoshop added logo to her shirt. Little Darket has been quiet and yet not stationary. After being initially being enrolled within the Reaper Academy section that tends to be as we know of grade school and learning things like Maths and history ( albeit the Reaper side of it) - Darket has graduated and now has entered into the beginning phases of Reaper Academy.  She works as a receptionist within the Processing department, aiding those on their way through the system.  She has not quite decided yet on the idea of death as a career. 

She is also a fan of Goth or Synth music, one band whom aided inspiration was Ashbury Heights & the song "Anti-Ordinary".  Darket is dressed in some slight Goth style with a tighter top with an Anti-Ordinary logo on it. For a human form able Kawaiichi, she is fairly free thinking and things like bras and taxes just aren't something she cares to worry about if she doesn't want too. Hence her attire is tight and a bit formed to her figure.    

If you want to be as cool as Darket in a Anti-Ordinary shirt or other Swag; I've made a Red Bubble Shop to test out the concept of selling merch of my art at times. I'm new to the platform and so there will be a learning curve as well as me figuring out things.  Let me know if anyone would like a shirt option wit Darket on it and I can look into adding it to the options.  :D

ProCRAPstination

 I sketched a thing...

 

Well, Darket probably would rather not be called a thing.  

While wandering the countryside, a very bad habit I seem to have instead of being productive lately, and listening to my Spotify shuffle of Ashbury Heights; a mental image/idea came to my head of Darket (whom is a fan of the prior mentioned band) wearing a more tighter top that says "Anti-Ordinary" with her hands behind her.  It was a very - rough - mental image to say the least.  Rough mostly as it seemed to not give any cares to anatomy or just how far til an arm will snap.  

But with some very strenuous googling for a pose and pinterest failings; I came across the idea to google "Pose Generators" and was pointed at Magic Poser.  An app yet also online lite sized version program that lets you create 3D pose-able models.  Some tweaking later and I got the model to pose kind of how I recall Darket in my mind, which by now was starting to wain as my memory makes goldfish look like elephants. 

The sketch here is B/W after I poked it with a filter on my phone (Where it was obtained) as the original drawing was done later at night using my phone flashlight as light and a blue graphite mechanical pencil.  I struggle with light sketching, so I know I have a mess ahead of me to clean up when ready for inking and possible coloring. 

I had my spirit-sis give it a look to help with anything I was missing, to which the crotch needs a little LA Magic and the wrist needs some bulking.  For a first sketch in over a year - even I am willing to give myself some praise here.  

The plan is to (when I have time/a chance) do some fixes, maybe run it by my super helpful Spirit-Sis editor, and then start inking.  It - might wind up being my ONLY "Inktober" drawing, tho I know there's all kinds of drama with the Inktober name/brand/everything.  The hope if to then try not to kill it in color, maybe my Ohuhu Markers and try touching some with Color Pencil.  I think it might possibly even make a good shirt design maybe?  Not sure yet and I also will need to find a good place to post such an endeavor.  CafePress is just... old.. and zazzle is an account I lost access to and it doesn't seem to wanna give back to me.  Not sure if RedBubble is a thing with make to order items that don't require me shipping and such.  Suggestions?  Would anyone want an Anti-Ordinary Darket Shirt if I made them... and if I don't somehow botch the image itself.

 I'd try to digitize it... but I honestly have no idea what i'm doing with that - even after having gotten a cheaper tablet and a cheaper kinda tablet pen from Walmart to test it with.  Just feels so.. strange in all honesty.  I need practice and yet haven't the patience at the moment to try to practice. lol
