Uh Oh... Zombie.. Zombie.... 🧟

 So... It's rather late at night & thus I am going to risk not sending this post thru Grammarly. If you also know the song the title is referencing... YAY!! Good Bean!

So just quick updates in speedrun form: 

• RedBubble is CLOSED.  They changed how they plan to operate by leaning to a 3 teir system that seem to mostly hurt starter artists like me by billing them on transactions (sales), but waving it for those who have larger following.  So for me it won't work out.  I'll sometime figure out if there's other options I would go with.  Anyone who has suggestions for print-on-demand style storefronts, let me know in a comment! :3 

• I've been riding the roller coaster from hell career wise. Thus noted - i pretty much have neglected this blog way too much. Between being employed in a daily grind of doom, quitting said grind to only have to return due to not other good options and money running fully out.  I've basically depleted any retirement funds for my future (cuz im not very bright) and so stress level is now very high as I work for $2 less an hour than my prior wage and keep my eyes out for other options. At some point, when i can try and dig out of the hole some, I want to try and figure out a path to maybe Apprentice Heavy Equipment Operator. I second guess everything I do, so - it's risky and scary feeling.  We'll see how things go.
  

• With the previous point - it goes to assume I've not been able or calm enough to post on the blog and really focus on artsy vibes. Yet I also believe in keeping the art brain active. So having 3 character Twitters, a character blog, & Celix Productions Twitter seem to help at least dip toes into Art vibes as I can. But this blog will still be fairly dead air for a bit I feel. Well aside from layout tweaks. I am do OCD on web design ideas - have been since 2000... 2001(?). Why I've never had a fully finished website. XD

• On the subject of suggestions from the first point - I am still not convinced having a Ko-Fi or "TipJar" really makes sense for my existence (?), Brand (?), whatever this is (motioning a circle 'round screen). Yet would be nice for this (more flailing in circle) to be able to bring in some funding as well. ^^;

 

Yeah...  I'm starting to crash from my busy work day and still being awake. @.@  But wanted to do some updating. Hope everyone who does happen along this blog is having a good start of 2023 and week. :>

I know it's late & I should be asleep. Yet I wanted to try and better flesh out (no pun intended) a better and higher resolution version of the Reaper Academy seal. 

After tweaks... well after completely redoing the seal with some changes - I have a good design thus far which I am liking enough that you can now go to the RedBubble Store to get items with the seal upon them. Just in Time for Hallows Eve!!

Tiny Blog Designing...

 Updated the blog header again, It's still a work in progress honestly.  Even while I opened the editor to create this post - my mind bubbled the question/idea of better offering small imagery for each post. This makes some more options for any newer template attempts. I also noticed while rearranging; that the "Featured Post" needs an image on a post for it to look nice.

I've changed featured to the topical post. My stance isn't changing and I haven't done the USA standard of most companies of faking allegiance to a group for about a month and then just wiping clear after that month ends. -Cough Cough- 

My country, the USA, has a lot of things they need to change. I'd never expect that when I grew older - my feelings of living here would go from passive to feeling oddly concerned by seeing "old Glory" en-mass. I am not bashing my country, but I quietly observe and shake my head. The flag lust has become outrageous and concerning in my opinion. Gun love is also very disturbing and I've never been a fan of guns as a whole.  I'm not touching on the BIGGER issues of our nation ( such as Roe v Wade). Simply; It's not my place to have judgement. I refuse to be bullied by people claiming their fight for human rights and then snap at me that my passive position is "confirmation I am part of the problem". Just as BLM, my view of "All Lives Matter" is not demeaning the BLM movement - instead is broadening the call for humanity to see equal value in ALL life. 

Row Vs. Wade - as myself being male - is not my fight. And before I am attacked with " Sure... typical MAN!"; I believe that women should have their right to personally choose things. At the same time, Women and Men need to understand the implications of their actions. Sex has become almost a trend and something people disconnected from the reality of it being a form of human mating and creation of life. 

I'm not going to text dump my views here and all. Just Sex should be an action of reverence for your conjoined love together. It should be that special thing that gets peppered in during special moments between other joined activities.  Like talking walks together, drives together, living your lives together and creating a true bond. Sex can lead to pregnancy and that creates a major decision to make and if you choose to retain your child - it requires at minimum of 18 years of your life to raise correctly this child and provide for them.  Sadly I feel many have kids and it's an after-thought and some people have abortions. Most of those are due to the neglect of realizing that sex creates life. 

Additionally; "As a Man", I believe the VAST amount of "Men" in the USA have not been raised correctly. I've spent a long time of my life being called negative things for having a less manly mindset and almost feeling disdain against other males who seem to focus on sex, women as objects, and that whole " You must have sex at XXX Date/Age". Those mindsets are the ones that tell me these men were not raised well at all. And tend to lead to men abusing women in various ways. Rape being one of the reasons for abortion - That's solely on Men usually and again.. their shitty parents not raising them correctly. My grandparents I lived with my whole life did well to teach me better and thus my views are how they are today.

What I was just trying to say was... I've tweaked a little on the header image and the featured post if fixed up some. please be safe out there people!! Don't let news and media rot your mind with negativity.

City / County officials plan memorial for Texas shooting victims, County-wide school closures, County Revisits Police Service Laws :: {fictional news article}

SOUTHSTAR GLEN ::
    Citizens county-wide have reacted to the tragic shootings throughout the USA in the past few weeks. Local city officials have decided to restructure Southstar Glen's City Memorial Day parade to act as a memorial for the victims of the most recent Texas shootings of Uvalde.

"We know tensions have rekindled with anger against law enforcement, but we stand with the victim's families and our community," said Deputy McGrew of the Southstar County office. Agencies from all over the state will offer units for the memorial that will follow the Memorial Day parade this Sunday and continue from Main street onward to State Hwy 71. Then the officers and deputies will travel to Uvalde to present the community with a $150,000 community outreach donation.

Schools across Southstar County also closed for an early extension to the Memorial Day holiday. Bill Zent, President of Southstar Glen School District, stated the extension allowed families time to process and talk about the events in Texas. Southstar Glen School District also has been meeting this week on bylaw updates and revised safety protocols. "Our schools will always be our priority of safety," stated Mr. Zent.

Currently, Southstar Glen schools utilize a standardized armed intruder protocol used by most U.S. school districts. New measures may see added resource officers, intruder alarmed doors with automatic unlocking, and scan card entry of students & faculty.

"We understand that locked doors were the initial hindrance at Uvalde. We believe in a locked school during the session. Yet we also recognize our 20-year-old school buildings are prone to problems with that safeguard. Our grounds crews have been wiring doors this week with single activation panic unlocks if an intruder breaches a building or any internal incident." Mr. Zent explained.

County officials also had the task of reviewing the progress of Police Service laws enacted last year. Head county leaders noted that the results were astonishing yet concerningly retrospective. "We are seeing great strides in numbers, which makes us all concerned about how wrong we once were," he said.

Police complaints were down 37%, and Use of Force investigations were over 40% in reductions. Citizen ratings of their police system have also been more positive. With positive news came negative news as the review also noted three new officer harassment cases, which resulted in the termination of the officers from duty. "We have committed to our new Moto of Service before Honor. All three officers willingly forfeited their badge," noted Kerry Stein of County Officer relations.

The Memorial Day parade will start on Main Street of Southstar Glen on Sunday at 11 am with a Veteran's concert in the park at 5 pm Sunday.
