My Stance on Guns...

Changing the title image for a bit.  I'm hoping you won't mind.

The cold blooded murders from Texas and additional shootings in the last Month or so are unacceptable and need to be taken seriously by both citizens & our government.  Currently - our government is more stacked with NRA and Gun-Happy folks than people willing to make instantaneous changes to Gun Laws. If they won't even just meet us at stronger gun laws for all owners - then ban them all together now before you lose your job serving the people.  yes - the people put you there... not the corporations giving you kickbacks!  At least... that's what we can only hope is the case.

If your Pro-Gun, save yourself the time and don't bother commenting.  i understand your view & opinion, The USA still gives you that with freedoms.  But those same one allow me the right to call you a supporter of Child Murder.  It's a give and take kind of thing... we give you the choice to be decent humans.. or we take away your toys.

Carrd? yah or nah?

Hello!!!

It's... been a week. Take that as you wish.
I'm trying to coax myself into the bill-paying mindset, all while listening to the newest Birthday Massacre CD. I got the physical CD ( yep, I'm one of those people.) with the included digital download option for listening on my computer.

If you are into the rock/goth style sync vibe of music, You should check out The Birthday massacre. Found them randomly on YouTube years ago and was hooked. I have not really paid attention to mainstream music since. I've found most of my enjoyed artists are bands or artists that I find through YouTube.

-- ANYWAYS --

It's been a chaotic start to the year & I've yet to get past the 50% mark on my Udemy HTML5 course. Yet I am also wondering just how relevant are websites still? In means of a personal website, you spend a few weeks writing up and publishing. Opposed to site services like "Carrd" and "LinkTree" nowadays.

I took the better part of an evening working on a Carrd free site for my photography project, SpiritBridge, before the new year. And I found it to have a learning curve, but one that's relatively straightforward to navigate and get a pretty nice result. I now wonder if these websites are the new "In" for web spaces. Would I benefit from creating assets/content for a "Celix Productions" microsite space (Carrd, Link tree, Etc.)? Thus allowing me to later convert to a domain when the time is right & finances are available.

I have already been lobbing back and forth the idea of purging from Tumblr to cut down social media usage. I feel as if Tumblr is not aiding the goals of getting more eyes on my work, projects, and content like Instagram and Twitter could. I also know that I currently feel I'm being spread very thin posting-wise when juggling so many different things online and off.

Please, voice your opinions on what I am now dubbing "microsite spaces" like Carrd, LinkTree, and others. I hope to start pushing harder on real-life things at home to finally make more headway on the 3-year downsizing project that began in late 2018. Then I can attempt to better wrap my head around where I want to start facing as I start walking forward in things. Baby Steps, right?

All fiction aside...

So... I want to make a quick blog here.

Last night, a sizable storm system swept the USA. Using the situation as a topic to brainstorm and create some stories for my characters, including content for an experimental character twitter that I will not name due to the experiment being an ongoing thing. The latter used last night's blog for a cropped tweet screenshot for content imagery to go with the tweet.

Of course, during this time - it was still early in the night, our WI snow hadn't come yet, and overall there was not a lot of activity really out there. If I recall, the storms had just fired in Central AR & were moving Northeast. After the posts here and on Twitter - I moved to chat with my online BFF and then went to bed. I awoke, late as I seem to always do, and checked the Twitter feed to find that the storms had, in fact, dropped a little snow here but also laid waste to entire states. This makes last night's post a bit sour in some terms, but it also gives me the chance to make this post now.

I've tweeted a sizeable string of tweets threaded together, rather shoddily as I'm horrid at sewing.

This thread has info on ways to donate to organizations in the affected areas, or at least what I could find with googling while in mid-tweet. If you know other local options for donating, reply to the tweet with links! I feel Twitter is the fastest and most common way to pass this type of information. It's instantaneous and lends well to added media to help Twitter push it into people's feeds more than my blog would be seen.

Just wanted to say that, as I know, part of me feels like the backside of a donkey as things have unfolded. It was all based on the moment of brainstorming and not malicious in any way. :)

Remember, we are all humans on this spinning globe in the universe - no matter the titles, labels, and hurdles we place in front our ourselves or others.
