End of a Decade

There has been an increasing amount of "End of the Decade" chatter; advertising, meme's, challenges, etc.  Yet I do find it a tad confusing as there wasn't as much hoopla' in 2009 for that decade's end.  If there was - I must have been adversely unaware of it.

One of the biggest decade activities I have seen within the more art based accounts I follow has been the "Then vs. Now" imagery.  A striking comparison of one's improvement to their work over the 10 year grind which best display's to both themselves and the world how they have improved... or um-improved.

For me; It kinda is rather difficult as I started tapering off of art as work became more cumbersome in my mental health overall and I started looking at another project focusing more on photography overall.  I could say the plan was a perfect balance, but let's be real here - I never got past website layout remake stage usually anyways.  Needless to say; I don't think I have a exact comparison of a single character between the decade.  Many of the Celix OG characters wound up being shadowed by newer ones.  But let's ruffle up something - shall we?

Wow...  Difference doesn't seem visible, but the scarcity of art in general is.  2011 Silver was one of like 3 images saved and still one of my faves of her.  2015 I drew a Pumpkin Cosplay image as her design starting pushing towards the whole Otaku Girl mindset. 2017 was the last real image made up to currently.  Kawaiichi #10 started to form a design and idea.

Of course; my Kawaiichi human designs are already in my mind needing updates and the collection I have dubbed to myself as " the Kawaiichi Sisters" have been trying to take my attention from everything else; yet with no art made.   Only the last week or so has another older - yet newer character has been trying to develop her place.

Northside Takes Direct Hit Overnight :: {fictional news article}

SOUTHSTAR GLEN:
Storms strike Southstar Glen area for second time this year as one of the strongest tornadoes in city history tore thru the Northside district.

Sheriff Deputies reported a large tornado touched down roughly 10 minutes after Tulsa NWS issued a Tornado Warning for the area and siren's had activated.  The Northside district,  a newer area of the city seeing growth took a direct hit as the estimated F3 tornado ground through the Westinghouse Creek neighborhood leveling homes and downing power lines.

VPTA noted that 2 Silver Line trains had been parked for the night at fwo separate stations and were found rolled onto their sides this morning. One unit at the North Mall was lifted and parts shredded from it as power lines snapped from winds.  The other was at the 55th Street station 2 miles East where it is believed the tornado passed before dicipating. "We have critical damage to infrastructure within the Northside area which causes us to shut down all operations in the city until repairs are made" stated a spokesman for the Valley Pines based transit company.

Officials are asking all non-essential persons to stay away from the Northside area.  "Road blocks have been placed and officers will be on call to maintain a no zone for the general public " stated the Sheriff's office today in an email.

Crisis Control of Southstar County confirms extensive damage with 2 reported deaths and a handful of people sent to nearby hospitals overnight.  " This is our worst case scenario... nighttime tornadoes give no obvious alert and many residents were sleeping prior to the warning being issued" stated Mr. Mills of CCSC.  Some residents took to social media to alert family and others noting reaction as " There's nothing left".

The NWS will be investigating the incident this week; promoting Dallas, TX as a priority location as well.  Safe Shelters have been set up at South Zion Church, Southstar High School, and the Zelber owned Glendale Travel Inn's located in the city.  citizens wishing to donate clean like new clothing, foods, or other family items may do so at the above locations or at any Southstar County Sheriff's Office.

Domain/Site's Hiatus

I had typed End in the title, but that term is misleading in a way.

My domain registration goes ba-bai most likely around midnight tonight ( Oct. 12th, 2019) without me renewing it.  Thus - The celixproductions.com Domain goes offline to the public.

The reason is simply, I did not renew it.  This isn't me giving up or ending an era or anything of that like.  I just simply am in a financial place that I cannot justify paying the hiked up price of $45 a year on Hosting/Domain Registration.  Especially thru a company that initially was fine, but has over the last year hiked the initial locked price from $35 to $45 and seems to have gone fully down with its serves a few times.  Along with a BBB rating rivaling Trump's presidency with matching reveiws; I just felt i should research other options.

While doing so; of course I find that it is more than likely that Mister.Net will wind up holding the celixproductions domain hostage.  I have tested this using my sister's website (which she also let go un-renewed due to not being able to even access the member login site) that she had unlocked and let renew drop.  The name still says it is claimed and not available - thus being held hostage by Mister.Net.  Click "see more>>" to continue reading the updates. ^^

City installs Historic Fountain at Botanical Gardens :: {fictional article}

  • The following is a fictional new article from a fictional world/city. None of the information below is to be assumed as true, binding, or overall in tune with real world matters.  This article is simply a exercise in writing with aim to add secondary story development as it revolves around the characters and world I have created

SOUTHSTAR GLEN:
The city Parks department finished the installation Friday, October 11th, of the newest addition to the Glen Botanical Garden's.
After a successful event to fund the acquisition of  a water fountain feature found on the infamous Jackson Estate called Neverland Ranch; The city and the Michael Jackson Legacy Preservation Group of Southstar Glen observed the delivery of the prominent feature that once graced a spot in front of the buildings on the Neverland property.
 Park director Chip Brenner stated that the process to install the fountain was started just as the funding was reached and has been slowly in the works through city employee and volunteer work.  " We've had a few contract business's donate their time and resources which really aided in the install and brought down a large chunk of the price tag for the city." Brenner noted.  Ace Star Plumbing and Heating had sent a small crew to run the water lines for the fountain and were aided by EL Electric LLC for the pre-install wiring.
 Park Department employee's finished the install of the fountain over the past week upon it's delivery to the Glen Garden's complex last Thursday and have already made tests to the system to ensure it functions as intended.
The Michael Jackson Legacy Preservation Group and Glen Botanical Garden's plan to have the grand inauguration of the fountain for it's first official activation on October 19th, 2019 at Noon with a large buffet fish and Chicken dinner.  Those wishing to attend are able to purchase tickets at the Botanical Garden's, their website, or at local VPTA stations found on the Glen Garden's line.  Tickets are $10.00 each with children under 10 being free.  Tickets sales ensure enough food for visitors and proceeds will help fund the Gardens and additional projects.
" Our group was elated by the chance to make this a reality.  We had major doubts with funding at first, but it turned our so much better than it could ever have been thought! And the city now has a piece of music history from the man who helped make Pop and Humanitarian efforts a forefront of music." voiced Rio Kitten, the co-president of the MJLPG group.  The group has been in operation within Southstar Glen since 1989, but had only renamed to it's current title after the passing of Michael Jackson on June 25th, 2009.
