The main note that has gained attention within the area is a unprecedented statement by the owner within the post putting direct implications to disorderly conduct by local officials working for the venue.
We at Southstar Peace Terrace would like to touch on the fact however, at no time will the campus tolerate abuse to patrons by officers or "one man army" attitudes of civil servants. If at any time a guest feels uncomfortable or attacked by any officer working for us on site - we ask you report it immediately to the front offices or ticket booths if not to another member wearing a staff shirt. Our agreement with the local departments includes a termination clause allowing us the right to issue termination of a officer working for us during events. This would revoke the badge of the officer and initiate a 3rd party investigation into the incident to determine if further actions are needed.
Until now, many have never seen such a direct commentary of the area police and sheriff employees noting a call to note bad conduct. While the SouthStar County area has seen it's share of issues in past years of officers steeping outside of normal operations; this will be the first time that direct notice has been placed in print publicly.
When we asked Sargent Bradly of the statement he responded that it was in fact true that the local and county departments were under contract by the SSGPT company and that all officers where given notice of the new policies and amendments to the contract including right to terminate with cause.
" Our officers have been made aware of the situation and many feel this is a good relationship making step by the campus" Srgt. Bradly added. Email response from the county sheriff's office paralleled in mind as the departments agree this step, while direct and quick moving, is a good one.
With the start of event season starting this month; the Peace Terrace complex has added many changes and is will be open late June to the public for beach access.
